Dusseldorf – July, 2013 – Indeed, the world’s leading job site, today announced the opening of its first German office in Dusseldorf. In the last year, traffic to indeed.de has grown 124% with 2.3 million unique visitors to the site last month, according to data from Google Analytics. In the last seven days nearly 100,000 new German jobs were added to the site.
Indeed was founded on a simple idea: to help people find jobs. It is a comprehensive job search site for German job seekers, providing them with free access to millions of jobs from thousands of direct employers, staffing agencies and job boards. Indeed displays all of these jobs, in one search, versus job boards that list jobs only from paying employers.
“Indeed became the world’s leading job site by putting job seekers’ interests first and providing the best possible job search experience in every market. Today’s announcement solidifies Indeed’s position as the best place for job seekers to find a job and for employers to find the right candidates. We are excited by our continued expansion in Europe’s largest economy,” said Rony Kahan, Co-founder and CEO of Indeed.
In Germany the company will be led by Frank Hensgens, a seasoned executive with over 10 years experience in the German e-recruitment industry.
“We are delighted to have Frank Hensgens, a leader in German e-recruiting, join Indeed as Managing Director of the Dusseldorf office. Germany is a critical part of Indeed’s global growth strategy and Frank will provide a wealth of knowledge and insight on the German recruitment market,” added Kahan.
This announcement will see Indeed actively recruiting for roles in the area of sales, business development and communications. The new hires will help Indeed to continue its rapid growth in Germany.
Frank Hensgens said, “Today, German employers pay some of the highest prices in the world to post jobs online, no matter how successful they will be. We know that employers want measurable results from their recruitment spend and with Indeed, employers pay only when job seekers click on their jobs. This represents a fundamental change in the way people find jobs and employers find people.”
Indeed launched in 2004 as the original search engine for jobs and is now available in more than 50 countries and 26 languages. Indeed attracts more than 100 million unique visitors per month and is the number one job site in a growing number of countries, including Canada, France, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, the UK and the US and leads worldwide in mobile job search.
